Talkative Tuesday

Updated: Oct 26, 2021

Good Morning my beautiful black and brown Goddesses! I hope everyone is having a lovely start to their day. Let's get into it! Last week was very emotional for me because of the George Floyd verdict, as well as the killings of Ma'kiah Bryant, Isaiah Brown, Andrew Brown, Jaslin Adams, Adam Toledo, Daunte Wright along with everyday life took a toll on me. I cried for those babies because no matter their age they were all someone's baby and having kids of my own growing up in this world today is very scary. (Let's take a moment of silence in honor of their lives). I had so much to say but I couldn't mentally compose a proper post. I was exhausted from doctor appointments and my own personal frustrations, my heart was heavy and I could not gain the strength to post. I'm going to say this...depression is real and anxiety is scary because it comes when it wants. I have battled depression for several years and I am no longer ashamed to say it. When I have episodes I am just glad that I get through them. There are millions of people battling depression and anxiety everyday and some don't get to come out on the other side of victory. With that being said if you or someone you know is battling depression please don't beat yourself up or judge them, look down on them, or ignore the signs. It can be as simple as a text to let them know you care and always remember each persons depression is different. Moving forward I am going to shed light on artist who inspire my day/week . It can be music and/or a picture that I have seen that makes me smile hints the sun shine beaming on the sunflower in the above pic. So for this week the Motivational Music Spotlight goes to Koryn Hawthorne's album I am and two of my favorite songs are "Pray " and "Scratch". If you are going through anything and I mean anything in your life good or bad this album is a must. It touches your spirit in a way that makes your soul smile and let's you know it is all going to be okay. Also for today the vibe is Daryl Hall and John Oates " I Can't Go For That". Because I need you beautiful ladies to start putting up boundaries and letting people know you can't go for that. When the users, abusers, positive energy suckers (Negative Nancy's), start making you feel anything other than happy I need you to remember you have boundaries and don't owe anyone a thing. But you do owe it to yourself to remain peaceful and happy. That's all for today. I do have some important issues that I would like to discuss so be on the look out for that as well as the summer launch for the hair care products. Once again this is the Talkative Tuesday post where there is no set structure on the post it is freedom to release all the clutter that is still lingering in the brain. I encourage you to pick a day to release the clutter in your brain as life on the go can become overwhelming but once you release that build up you free up space to allow new inspiration to flow through. I have a few errands to sun but before I do I am going to run myself a nice relaxing salt bathe to draw out any unwanted toxins. Don't forget to respond, give feedback, or simply show up next week for Talkative Tuesday. As always remember to #BEEE (Beautiful, Encouraged, Enlighten, & Empowered).
